Who is ‘Matt Davies’
Matt Davies from Perton, Staffs has had phenomenal success in his quest
to become a Formula 1 Racing Driver. Matt started his indoor Karting career
at Cannon Raceway in Coseley in July 2006 at the age of 10.
He has won the Indoor Grand Prix that runs once a month 5
times, which includes recently the Grand Prix in January, February and March
of 2008.
He spent a day recently at Whilton Mill Karting Club near Rugby being coached by a Karting Team that has a passion for all aspects of Karting together with a pedigree linked to Touring Car and Formula One technical departments.
It was commented that Matt was a “Natural” and his father, Colin, also said that his “success to date had been largely attributable to his uncanny overtaking ability as he pushes himself to the limit and beyond to get in the next position. He is calm under pressure and has an unprecedented passion for winning”.
He started his outdoor career in September 2007 after first obtaining his MSA (Motor Sports Association) License and won the Novice Cup at his first race which was held at PF International Circuit in Newark on 7th October 2007. He also won the Novice Cup at races held at Kimbolton and Whilton Mill on 10th Feb, 24th Feb, 9th March and 23rd March 2008.
There is no doubt that Matt will have a racing career ahead of him with
this kind of talent, and it will only become a matter of time before he
gets spotted by someone for further development in the future.
Colin is currently looking for a sponsor to support Matt’s development
over the next 2 years. He will be entered in to the “Stars of Tomorrow”
Championship in 2009, which is currently being endorsed by Lewis Hamilton
himself.
Should a company be interested in talking to Colin in
connection with a sponsorship deal, then please feel free to contact him via the link directly below.
Let’s face it, how many of you had heard of Santander before Lewis had it splashed all over the front of his racing suit!!
Will someone be writing a Testimonial in 10 years time with the headline?
“Are you looking at the next Matt Davies?”
